Ride along with me as I embark on, and hopefully finish, the Iron Butt Association National Park Tour Master Traveler Award.
What, you ask is this? Basically and succintly, it is a quest to visit 50 National Parks/Sites/Places in 25 States in one year...also known as the "50/25/12"....but it must be done on a motorcycle!!!
A rider seeking this award must get a Passport Book from Eastern National and visit sites named in the Passport. At every visit, the rider gets his/her passport book "stamped" as proof of the visit.
The Iron Butt Association page has all the information you need along with some write-ups of those who have gone before, forms and other necessary information.
During this quest, I hopefully will also manage to get a Saddle Sore 1000 to my credit!
Wish me luck!!!! and an Iron Butt!!! (which I'll need to get one..Catch 22 or what???)

Since I live in S.E. Indiana
roughly 30 miles from Cincinnati, and there are NO National anythings near
my home, I'll have to start my Quest in Cincinnati, then move on to Dayton
or Chillicothe. Looks like a possible three stamps in one state. That would
be an auspicious beginning..and it's only about 300 miles....ah, if I could
keep the ratio one stamp for every 100 miles...nope, can't do that...no
possible way!!!...
